OUR STORY
Pharmacist Turned
Flower Farmer
After years of attending the local
Farmer's Market and experiencing joy
with fresh flowers in her kitchen
each week,
Morrisa set out to learn how to
grow flowers on her own. It is her
simple hope and prayer that
the flowers grown at Coyote Acres
will give you that same joy and
peace in your heart.

ABOUT MORRISA'S FLOWER FARMING JOURNEY
You might not know that Morrisa has an agriculture and farming background in her bloodline, but she does. Morrisa's grandfather Morris spent his childhood and young adult life farming with his family in rural Girard, IL. While Morrisa is previously known for not wanting to get her hands dirty, she stumbled upon flower farming on a whim. It made sense to do something with this 20 acres, so she decided to knotch out a section for flower farming and quickly learned that returning to her family's roots was exactly what she needed.

Flower farming has been an escape from the strains of healthcare and has provided Morrisa with endless hours of joy and satisfaction in her work.

LOCALLY GROWN | FRESH CUT FLOWERS
All of our flowers are grown right here at
Coyote Acres. We start preparing for our
season as early as January and see it
through beyond our first frost in the fall.
With the help of our high tunnel we
have blooms into November. In 2024
we installed a walk in cooler to
extend the life and short bloom time
of flowers such as tulips and peonies.
We offer "U-pick" opportunities and bouquet
workshops when we have an abundance
to share. Please inquire if you're looking
for an event like this!
